LAUN is a collaborative design firm marrying glamour and delight with the built world. In 2018, friends Rachel Bullock and Molly Purnell brought together their backgrounds in woodworking, metal working and architecture to build a practice of enduring spaces and products.
LAUN’s object-line harnesses the unique talents of Los Angeles-based manufacturers to craft timeless, heirloom quality furniture suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. LAUN Studio is the architecture and interiors branch of LAUN where curiosity and exploration are the founding design tenets.
LAUN’s work is committed to attention to detail in both form and material.
RACHEL BULLOCK is a Los Angeles-based architect and a founding partner of LAUN. Rachel splits her time designing and managing projects for both the Objects and Studio arms of LAUN. She received her Master of Architecture from the University of Texas Austin and her B.S. in Architecture from the University of Michigan. Rachel is licensed in New York, California and Oregon. She has collaborated as a designer and project manager with award-winning offices including A+I and Marmol Radziner, among others, and has experience in retail and hospitality environments up to 75,000 sf.

MOLLY PURNELL is a Los Angeles-based designer and founding partner of LAUN. Molly designs and manages projects for LAUN Studio and LAUN Objects while also managing much of the business operations. She received her Master of Architecture from the University of Texas Austin, a B.A. in Fine Art from Reed College, and studied woodworking and furniture design at the Oregon College of Art and Craft. Molly has collaborated as a designer and project manager with nArchitects, Ilan Dei Studio, Lisa Ano Studio and Chet Callahan Architecture among others.

ALYSSA GEERTS is a Los Angeles-based designer working in both architecture and interior design. Alyssa is originally from Austin, TX. She received a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Sustainable Environments from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Alyssa has collaborated as a designer at Yazdani Studio, and has experience in commercial interior architecture.

ERYANNE EDGERLEY is a Los Angeles-based architect. She received her Master of Architecture at Woodbury University and spent a summer studying architecture at Kyoto Seika University in Iwakura, Kyoto, Japan. She also received her B.S. in Landscape Architecture at the University of California, Davis. Eryanne has collaborated most recently as a designer and project manager at Bestor Architecture with experience in high end residential and commercial interiors.

JENNIFER BUI is a Los Angeles-based designer. She received a B.A. in Architecture at the University of Kentucky. Jennifer has collaborated at Charlap Hyman & Herrero, Hopson Rodstrom Design, and Formation Association with experience in commercial and residential architecture.
