Taking inspiration from the vivid symbolism in Octavia Butler’s science fiction novel Dawn, the Octavia lounge chair, designed in cast aluminum or fiberglass finishes, is an updated take on a little-known 1950s armchair prototype by Jean Royère. Its design echoes Royère’s use of unexpected materials and curved silhouettes.
